Until recently, various internet site surveys reveal that Filipinos go to the net not just to make academic researches or to look for something they just find hard to locate at the library.

Haven't I mentioned that we remain the texting capital of Asia, ever? 

Now, quite obviously, Filipinos are now even going as far as e-commerce. Though this write up is a bit late in sharing this content, at least I manage to get this online for those guys who want to save especially this Christmas time, in a brandnew web log.

Here we go, y!m chat for one or the much popular Yahoo!Messenger can be used to send text messages (SMS) to the Philippines wherever you are in this world. Just don't go off the space. I certainly wouldn't know about that.

The same thing holds true with msn or hotmail messenger, but with a twist because, if you are in Thailand, you can use msn to send a text message only to DTAC line users.

I wouldn't want to include Chikka since it requires registration of a mobile phone number from smart or globe from the Philippines.

Now, to use the yahoo!messenger (y!m for short) to send messages to either smart or globe; sorry, i haven't tried Mobile Addict and other phone lines, the person you are sending messages must be a registered member of yahoo and belongs to your y!m list. Otherwise you would be advised to get your friend or loved ones to register before you can send SMS.

Then once your friends or loved ones are registered, on your list while y!m is open, simply right click the name of your friend and you will see "contact details" in a dialog box that will pop up. Click it up and add the phone number of your friend or loved ones. 

That's it! You'll be on your way to a texting spree. But there's a downside to it as the network will tell you that the receiving end of your text must be open at the time of your texting.

Another thing is that the signal of your friend's phone should be at the highest peak level othewise your messages will end up nowhere. 

Once these two conditions are met, however, you wouldn't have any sweat texting them. It will even tell you to maximize your messages.

Now isn't this novel yet economical way of expressing your feelings to your loved ones? No matter how far you are, you'll still feel they are just beside you.
